I only borrow a few minutes at golden hour for portraits — no endless sessions, no forced poses — and for the rest I let you live your day. I carry two camera bodies and record every frame to two cards: a wedding has no "let's do it again", and the calm of knowing everything is safe comes back to you as freer images.

May, June and September are the ideal months: warm but not scorching days, green hills and long golden evenings perfect for portraits. Early autumn brings the colours of the grape harvest and a beautiful soft light. High summer (July and August) is stunning but hotter — it works well by moving the ceremony and portraits toward late afternoon. April and October offer gentler rates and intense landscapes, with some rain risk to plan for and an indoor plan B. Whatever your season, Umbrian light knows how to be generous.
