I've chosen to photograph weddings only. It isn't giving something up: it's the way to do one thing, and do it truly well.
A wedding can't be repeated. There are no second attempts, no sets to rebuild: there's a day that happens once, with its own pace, its emotions, its light. Focusing on this lets me read each moment before it arrives and always be there at the right time.
That's why I take on only a few couples a year. I'd rather hold a few stories well than chase many — giving each the time, the listening and the attention a day like this deserves.
