Carmen and Emanuele chose a historic abbey in the Tiber valley for a wedding that would combine ancient elegance and natural beauty. The result was a day suspended in time.
The vows in the Romanesque church
The ceremony took place in the consecrated church of Sant'Andrea, a Romanesque masterpiece within the monastic complex. Cosmatesque mosaics — geometries and inlays of precious stones — and historic frescoes on the walls created "an incredibly romantic and moving frame" for the vows.
The celebration in the gardens
The reception continued in the abbey's wide gardens. International Catering orchestrated the evening with refined table settings and a luminous "starry sky" installation that lit up the atmosphere, while the floral arrangements accompanied ceremony and celebration in every space.
Golden hour over the Tiber valley
The couple's session at sunset revealed why photographers love this place: the golden light passing through the ancient stone gives images of great romance, and the elevated position opens the view over the entire Tiber valley.
